The Extreme 30" Aluminum-Titanium Scope

The Completed Scope

The big 30" next to my "small" 18".

Vertically it is 11'6" to the top of the cage.

Tom and I discussing the finer points of observing with a .8 meter behemoth.

It looks a lot meaner with the shroud on.

Tom mounted the C-8 as a piggyback scope. He has since replaced that with a 8" Newtonian.

This was a super fun project. I'm currently convincing him he needs a 36" or 40".

This is the way we load the scope in the Caravan. The top of the bearings clear the opening by an inch. You must be paying close attention when you get to the top of the ramps.
