Once again we lucked out on the weather. Thunderstorms were predicted, but we lucked out and only had clouds and then skin-burning sun for the last half of the trip. A lot of new trees had fallen since the last time we did this part of the creek back in 2002. Mosquitos were a big problem, but this time we brought repellant. A no-brainer for most, but we usually forget little details such as these as we are frantically packing the car in the morning.

Adam, James, Jess, Jen, me, Mandy and Donnie.

What a great feeling, finally getting on the water for a peaceful, fun afternoon.
We canoed right under this immature Bald Eagle.

He stuck around long enough for us to beach the canoe so I could pull out the Nikon 5700 and get some great shots.
Man do I love the zoom on that camera!

We just passed through this tricky spot, now it's their turn.
Gotta love this peaceful setting. Not a care in the world.

Hi honey, having fun?
Time for another pitstop.

I love this shot of Jen.
Here are the RR bridges where the kids were jumping from the last time we canoed this section.
More bridge shots.
This is a cool shot of Donnie taken by his wife.

Hard to tell which way we're paddling isn't it?
Another shot of Donnie hamming it up.

Jen and I in the trusty Old Town, I love that canoe. Oh, nice haircut huh?
We're supposed to be posing for the camera, but these two thought they were alone.

Another peaceful shot.
I won't tell you what Donnie is doing back there, standing up in the canoe.

I like this shot, peaceful.
Who knows what they're talking about.

Donnie was getting a little frisky with just about everything.
Hey Jess, don't run us over.

The finish line up ahead. A long but very fun trip.
