Oh boy, what a fun day of dragging the canoe down French Creek. Jen and I were ok but Donnie and Ray were having lots of trouble. At least we found out how low is too low 8^) They had an ok time after we switched partners to more evenly distribute the weight. Still, we won't be doing this section again when it's this low.

Donnie, Ray, Jen and me ready to shove off.

Here's the first stop at the end of the "rapids". It is usually raging here.
Here we are relaxing at the end of the rapids still.

This was a common sight before we switched partners.
Ray and Don not real thrilled about dragging the canoe. They have been spoiled with easy canoeing. Bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch.

I told you it was shallow.
Here's a weird looking specimen. A leech of some kind. If anyone knows what species it is, please tell me.

The bottom with the very obvious sucker.
Nice Cedar Waxwing specimen. It was fun to watch them flying around us and bomb diving at the water bugs.
Another group shot.

Don pitching shoes on some junk we found on the bank.
Hi hun.

Notice how happy they are now that we've switched canoeing partners.
