The second, and worse, tricky spot is straight ahead. The creek turns left and gets very narrow and fast through here. The current pushes you towards a downed tree so you have to line up just right and blast through pretty quick. This would normally be no problem, but add in all these other canoes, some who have already dunked and are walking their canoe to the bank, and add in the incidental contact and this can get a little hairy. This is looking back right after we made it through. It's quite a spectator sport watching and cheering others less fortunate. But, it's all fun, everyone's laughing and having a good time. |
